This was definitely a unique book. It’s the first time I’ve read any thing from the author but have been recommended to read for a while.
So The Horse Mistress is the first book in its series. It’s a epic fantasy medium-burn ménage. (MM, MMF & MFM) It’s a full length novel (without a cliffhanger) and not particularly lengthy so I managed to get through it in a few hours. Keep in mind though despite this I didn’t feel like it neglected the plot or characters development.
As you can tell from the blurb it is taboo for women to tend to horses so Caraviel must hide her real identity from the tribe however when the tribe is attacked new alliances must be forged. She is asked not only to attend negotiations but show her ability to tame an unruly horse. Needless to say she is travelling with two men she is highly attracted to and when they find out her secret they vow not only to help protect it but invite her to join their bed.
If you like reading period / paranormal stories this is a book for you. Well written and the three main characters are very unique individuals with their own struggles in life. Andoc and Senovo's story can be read in book 0 which can be downloaded from the authors website.
