This book is great.. It's not all about sex though. There's a great storyline and there is a great depth of emotion in the characters. I enjoyed how the hero and heroine’s friendship/love grew. Also Love the epilogue where one sees the hero and heroine in the future.
Would have loved to have found how some of the other characters in this book like Avery, Harriet, Hammond and even Jillian fared in the future.
This book flows well and has good writing, but it suffers from not knowing what it is. Full on erotica with bondage? Or a tale of lonely souls at a house party, coming together for comfort? The love scenes dominate the first half and feel over done. They detract from what is actually a rather sweet romance.
It is the story of merry widow Esme and her inner circle of equally merry bed hopping aristocrats. Esme is a managing type who annoys her host Lord Windermere. But when Esme’s lover humiliates her at a house party, it is Windermere who protects her.
Heather Boyd has written some of my favourite HR such as ‘The Keepsake’ and ‘Broken’ but she hits some low points as well. This book is somewhere in the middle. An entertaining read but not as believable as some of her other books.
Esme attends the Earl of Windermere's House party. She feels very let down when the gentleman she attended with spends all his time with other people. The Earl helps her to turn the tables on this man and in the process she and the earl fall in love. A lively story which is well worth reading.
BRILLIANT! I love reading Heather Boyd. This book is so hot. It's not all about sex though. There's a great storyline and there is a great depth of emotion in her characters. I will be forever reading HB, her writing style is always excellent, and keepers.
