The first part was a tear jerker. Then it settled into a story of a slow return from loss and grief and a gentle awakening back into a world that allows for love and hope and possibility. You follow Jeremy who has lost so much, even his will to live in world that is only shades of grey; he meets Kai, a survivor who has overcome his own huge life challenges and shows Jeremy how to re-enter a life of colour. Together they find a way and figure it out. A great read. I enjoyed it.
