Excellent well written story with very good local detail and colour. At first I thought it would be ponyplay like Toni Chevals Equitania, but no, instead a jolly good detective story with a powerful castration frisson#
Dave Evardson has done something magical; He has made Cleethorpes and North Lincolnshire exciting, appealing and very entertaining. I took this book with me on holiday, thoroughly enjoyed it and only regretted that I finished it too quickly. It is a delight and I suspect that Dave has invented a new Olympic sport - Scarecrow wrestling! Think James Bond/Mr. Bean, Wonderful stuff much different from his other two books which I also enjoyed greatly and a tonic after my last few months of library reads. Albert must succeed to Inspector Clouseau's crown. Scarecrow Wrestling ?? as Dave says, 'Read the book'
A very amusing book and totally different to his previous books. A few twists and turns worthy of Freddy Forsyth and also as I know the area where it is set having traveled a lot of those roads on many occasions. A good amusing read.
It took a few for me to catch on to who was who, but was captured by the story and characters. It only got better as I read each chapter. Loved the locale since my husband's family is that area. Really enjoyed the story and look forward to more like this one. Good one Dave.
