Probably a better read for older teen-agers

This is not an expensive read; and nor should it be,. The tale is of high technology linked conversations with dolphins, submarines myteriously translocated across the ocean deeps, catastrophies involving massive ice shifts in the Antarctic, and deeply disturbed security chiefs at the core of government. The linkage of all this mayhem is an attempt at subversive transfers of Earth's water to an alien planet peopled by an advanced probably benign civilisation. It is all a bit too much but may well lend itself to a television mini-series as each episode terminates with an exiting climax. The characters are somewhat plastic and not to be too extensively analysed. The 'aliens' are humanoid so will not stretch the make-up department.,
It should be read as a light hearted and exiting novella not to be taken too seriously.
