** I wrote the headline above for this review using the keyboard that I am reviewing , I couldn't handle the stress if I was to write the actual review **
I bought one of these keyboards after reading good reviews , i just needed something to work on PowerPoint etc, just light MS Office Use. I fully charged it up, connected to my PC easily, but then the below *Cons took place. Which is a shame. Pro’s first though....
Battery life - is impressive. I left it on for a week, and was still “ working “
Customer support – when I complained about the below cons to the company, they quickly dispatched another keyboard for free, no squabble’s , very polite and quick to act. Which is fantastic, and is what you would expect ( and this is the reason for two stars instead of one ) however the design is a massive let down, again see cons below. But I want to highlight that both keyboards did exactly the same thing on x2 Windows10 PC’s x1 Mac Book Pro, an iPhone and my Samsung S10 Lite... The support team also emailed me two questions prior to dispatching the replacement keyboard 1) am I an Amazon prime member ( which I am ) and 2) once I have the replacement keyboard please could I leave a review. Well here we are. Again thank you for your efforts.
Lag – is just awful, I didnt buy this keyboard for gaming ( as explained above ) i am a gamer, but the lag on this device is just unacceptable , So i thought i would give it a try, if anyone is thinking of using this for a game, dont bother, its so irritatingly slow, even when really close to your computer
Times out – if you leave it for just a few seconds, it times out and disconnects , if you press a few keys to bring it back to life , it might reconnect, but then spews out lots of characters. But most of the time it just times out and disconnects, and doesn’t come back, resulting in having to un-pair / re-pair . ☹
Design of keys – I know you can program your keys to switch things like “ & @ but this is crazy, what I really dont like is the alt key located left to the Windows button, making alt tab an irritating combination, because you are used to alt being on the right side. Here, its on the left & when you alt tab, you get the zoomed out selection of your open windows. Very frustrating
CAPS – LOCK – Bizarre , just bizarre behaviour , again with the timeout, but most of the time, when you have the timeout issue, and the keyboard “ Does “ come back to life, caps lock will be on, you type away as normal only then having to delete it because its all in caps when you look up. Just insane
Sorry guys, but these will be sitting on my bookshelf.
