This book as I've come to expect from this series was packed with action. In space and on ground. While the war goes badly, the prisoners led by Jasmine plan on an escape. She's growing as a character and achieves some impressive things in this book. Other characters from earlier books show up and are showing promise.
Twists, turns, exciting tactics, battles within and without. While this is a space opera series with wars affecting planets, confederations and emerging empires it also delves into the personal emotional wars that shape every one of us. Excellent character development throughout. Come on Nuttall bring on number 11.... please!
