I am thrilled to have stumbled upon this gem. W.R. Gingell’s Wolfskin is so well written that I find myself eagerly looking forward to delving into more of the authors works. It was a pleasant surprise to come across an author who does not rely heavily on dialogue between characters to tell the story but at the same time does not bore the reader with meandering description or barely hidden information dumps. At the beginning, I was a little unsure how I was going to go reading a story from such a young point of view, but as the story unfolds and Rose grows older I found that it was no issue at all and should appeal to a varied audience of different ages. Wolfskin, while being loosely based on the story of Little Red Riding Hood, still manages to be entirely unique. And, if other readers are anything like me, it will leave you feeling completely blown away.
