Love reading George's books - I didn't realise there were so many weird and wacky calendar days! George writes so well and manages to seamlessly integrate his family life story into the 'calendar days'. Well done George!
I enjoy George's simple take on life and the fact that he's a family man. He doesn't make himself out to be an idiot like another writer I've read, or build himself up to then disappoint. I'm glad there's another book of his I still need to read. It's nice to read his books before I sleep, as a distraction from the worries of the day.
UK humourist George Mahood continues his theme of celebrating every day as an official holiday of sorts (think Talk Like A Pirate Day, that sort of holiday), as he and his family move from Northhampton to Devon, near the coast. It's a well-written, easy read and quite enjoyable. Not really a laugh-out-loud for me, but certainly snort-worthy in places.
