This book was a real page turner. Chinese Cinderella is just as the title suggests, an evil step mother and a neglected child. There were times where I wanted to scream at every character that was mean to Adeline. It was also interesting to get information about Chinese culture and language. The pictures, explanations and the gradual transition of China from being an occupied country, to civil war and finally to communist rule was interesting and kept me wanting to turn more (digital) pages. A really touching story that made me appreciate my family and life. I recommend this to anyone.
