With the destination of the quest finally unfolding, everyone is pushed to their limits as they race against time and a never ending array of formidable foes. At times all seems lost and loss and grief almost overwhelm them. Secrets unfold as the truth is finally revealed and each is given a chance to continue to do their part in restoring the balance. Edge of the seat unpredictable action, exciting conclusion to an amazing journey of discovery.
The third book in this series captured everything I enjoy in a book. Instead of just fighting a war that ends with good overpowering evil, the author has gone and enlightened the reader about everyone who was involved. Thus giving the reader closure, plus the idea that in a thousand years, another story could be created by an ambitious individual who discovers an ancient book.
The final book. What pleasure. I am so glad I waited and was able to read one after the other. The various characters were allowed to grow with each book. There was nothing static and every word flowed into the next. It was a very human story of heaven and hell. Highly recommended.
I throughly enjoy Jeff Wheelers trilogies. Poisonwell was a bit slow at the start but then it built up to be an exciting finish. His characters are always interesting in their own way and I also like the humour that comes through along with the wisdom.
