I have no idea why Draco would be so intent on being with Eve. I don’t think she could have been more rude to him if she tried. And yet Draco was the one constantly apologizing. The origin of her dislike of men seemed ridiculous. She based her entire opinion of men on one man.
That being said I really liked Draco’s daughter and that is why I gave this story 2 stars.
Please note I am only reviewing the comic version not the novel.
I really enjoyed this book. The way Eve and Draco meet for the first time pulled me into the story. Afterwards the two seemed to always bump into one another. The romance was slow and sweet. Draco's daughter was very mature for her age. It was sweet the way she tried to set Eve and her father up. She wanted her father to have someone special in his life. Draco was a wonderful father. It was nice to read a book with a healthy dad, daughter relationship. The romance was good between Eve, and Draco. This was just a all around good book.
+++Spoilers+++ This book wasn't an easy read and I didn't warm to the main characters very much. The h has loads of self esteem issues and is an innocent when she sleeps with the H for the first time. It wasn't romantic and I had a hard time accepting the relationship between the two. Loads of mistrust and the inevitable big misunderstanding with a pregnancy thrown in. It's been done before and been done better
It's been awhile but finally I've found an MB that I can stomach. It's wasn't the best but certainly passed time nicely. An arrogant, jealous hero and an independent somewhat naive heroine. No angst or unjustified bitterness or overdrawn misunderstanding. Just a pleasant read with good character development especially from the hero.
Draco was too gorgeous and interesting for the heroine described in this book. We know why the hero is attractive to the heroine, but I'm not quite sure why he's with her. Everything else that happens in the book (which is not much) is overshadowed by that fact.
