The Game continues. Yet another fascinating book in this lengthy series keeps your eye glued to the pages. This is the third in the series. Having read books 1 and 2 previously I will launch into book 4 seamlessly. The depths. of detail the author, George R R Martin goes into are unbelievable. Descriptions of families, clothing and even the food they eat are described in such detail you can almost taste it.If anyone enjoyed the TV series they will enjoy the books as it takes them even deeper into the story and will explain many things the TV series left unexplained.
I found series 1 followed the book fairly closely but as you move on to 2 and 3 the differences in the TV series and book become greater.
So if you have read the books this far, and you would have had to enjoy them as they are not exactly short books, may as well get the next one and read on. With George R R Martins creative imagination who knows where we will end up.
Book 3 keeps you fascinated just as books 1 and 2. So if you liked them, read on you won't be disappointed.
Couldn't take my eyes of this book! Gripping, ghastly & thrilling. An exhilarating 'cast of thousands' comprising the brave & the cravens, the honourable & the oathbreakers and mad gods & magical beasts. The characters I doted on were butchered, yet I loved this book.
A Storm of Swords is a fabulous read - I was hooked from page one - George R. R. Martin brings his characters to life. I find myself invested in the characters and sometimes have to resist paging ahead to find out what happens !!
If you loved the first 2 books you will be enthralled with A Storm of Swords.
I like the character development even though there are so many. It is a very brutal, bloodthirsty time and I was sorry that some of the characters have been killed. I thought they were to have a bigger role to play in the story.
