I enjoyed reading this Fairchild romance. It made a good light and distracting read with enough detail to let you get to know the characters and not so complicated that you need a guide to figure out the relationships. Would definitely read another of these.
I'm sorry to have to say this but this must be one of the most boring books I've ever read. I can't put my finger on the problem. The characters were well defined. The story was nothing unusual. The main thing was that I couldn't feel any empathy for the protagonists. And slow! It took forever for anything to happen. I only got to chapter nine and I gave up. That is very unusual for me as I like to give a new author every chance. Another thing that I never do is read the last chapter first. Well, when I got to chapter nine I did skip to the end. It all worked out as I knew it would from the beginning, so why bother slogging through another twenty-three chapters? I'm sure that many of you will disagree with me and that is your prerogative. I'm not sure who would like this book so I can't recommend it.
