This is a story filled with great love. The Perrault family is amazing. They have incredibly hard challenges, but this family has great love and great faith. I know it's fiction, but it's so wonderfully written and is truly inspiring.
I was so drawn in to this story that in one of the most beautifully emotional scenes I had tears in my eyes and a lump as big as Texas in my throat. Rachel writes about a disease that has plagued us for years without being preachy and in a way that lets us be empathetic to the innocents who, through no fault of their own, contract this disease. She did an excellent job of showing that God still loves us, even when we make mistakes but also shows that we still might have to suffer the consequences of those mistakes. Thank you, Ms Nunes, for the wonderful experience I had reading this book.
Nicely done. More tough issues to deal with as a result of past mistakes.Addresses the issue of natural consequences being a cost for certain actions, regardless of faith, repentance, etc. Another tear-jerker but well told with an overall message of redemption and hope.
