The whole scenario - if told in a sentence - would be considered a straight-forward plot: In a high school setting, a lycan male falls for human but can't claim him until he is 18 or claim him because he's a human and, of course, male. It's a bitter-sweet romance filled with delicious love-scenes, action and werewolves!
I personally like the build-up to the love-scenes, maybe I'm a masochist as it takes a while before our two love-birds get to do the dance. Don't fret though, as we still have many delicious moments between the two - definitely NOT lacking in this story (some say "too much" but we're not here for the politics people).
Not only is this one juicy read, it also delivers a action-packed story with rivals, wolf-pack issues, acceptance (with family and pack) and all the emotions that comes with fighting for your heart and place in the lycan community.
I like how Rob writes his POV's; he switches between the MC's giving us story from both sides, which gives us insight into the minds of both Colton and Parker, as well as other characters.
This was my first gay shifter story, and my first novel from Rob Colton. Since then, I have created a fan-following for the guy, so my review may be a little biased, even so, I think Rob has amazing talent at delivering steamy romances with interesting characters and shenanigans.
If you're a fan of gay shapeshifters, I highly recommend adding this to your collection; you won't be disappointed!
Also, don't forget the side story about Jed, call The Enforcer.
I really liked this book even though the themes and story are quite similar to a lot out there. I liked the 2 MC. And loved coltons unwavering love for his mate. I liked how the 2 mc got together pretty quickly in the book and then the story was about them finding their way together amid pack rules and parents and school. The bit about the mystery wolf didn't bog down the story. There was a lot of sex. Lots of it hot dirty and sexy. Some of it repetitive and I just skimmed reading it. A fun few hour read.
