There's plenty of evidence from research studies that fasting and caloric restriction is good for a person's health. In the developed world, there is so much food that many people eat too much. But back in our evolutionary past, people went hungry and we are adapted to deal with that. I have been a 'faster' for years, but used to do it in an ad hoc way - this handy little book gives me a good plan to follow - thanks, highly recommended
Whilst the info is solid enough, my strong feeling is that the author either doesn't speak English properly, or they're a really awful writer. It read like a first, wordy and unedited draft. I am returning it.
