My god what an emotional rollercoaster, I nearly died of the feels. At the end of KING HALL our prodigies are under attack, Coms are everywhere killing Mystics, men, women and children. The young prodigies decide to RUN, rounding up as many survivors as they can and using the powers they head to King Cave a mystical cave designed to protect Mystics in a time of war. After months of living together the sexual tension between Lily and Ezra erupts and the Shifter Prodigy and the Vampire Prodigy take out their sexual frustration on each other. But for the young loves life isn’t easy Lily falls pregnant and loses both her children a set of twins a boy and a girl. Heartbroken the two call off their relationship creating uneasy between the four future rulers. To deal with the pain Ezra turns to women (which might I add was TOTALLY expected) and Lily turns to training and friendship. Eventually our two young love birds work out their issues and rekindle their romance.
Due to the threat of war the four prodigies are sent out to find the future prodigies in order protect them. Ezra and Lily set out together with Lily’s adopted father Antonio and Ezra’s mother and father. But an ambush is waiting for Ezra and his prodigy, after this attack Ezra is left dying and with no other option Lily sets up a deal with a Mage that saves Ezra’s life but nearly cost Lily her own. Just when we believe all the heart break is over a new law is enacted by the elders forbidding interspecies romances (e.g shifter and vampire or mage and elemental) Being found guilty of interspecies romance, Ezra, Lily, Pearl and Jack’s memories are wiped and the new Kings and Queens are separated to continue their lives like they never knew each other.
This four hundred page work of art, made me laugh, the situations our four beloved prodigies have to get out of is highly entertaining and things like Ezra falling out of his chair because of how hot Lily looks had me cracking up.
And scenes like when Lily loses her babies and Ezra can do nothing to help or when Lily and Ezra are both about to lose their memories and are saying good bye had me in tears and let me tell you I hardly ever cry ever, so you know the books well written when you can actually feel the pain of the characters and it affects you.
I really enjoyed the mix of romance, fantasy and realism its set in the real world which makes it easy to pick up you don’t have to jump into another world. It makes sense nothing is to extreme or unbelievable. I often find that a lot of fantasy books get blown out of proportion but not KING CAVE, none of the magic or the scenes are to unbelievable. So well done Scarlett Dawn KING CAVE and Lily and Ezra’s story continue in KING TOMB
