The 110cm length is what attracted me to this scissor arm. Most other arms about 30-20cm shorter so pick wisely. The plan was to mount this on a shelf above the monitor and although the length was okay, I couldn't get it to bend down to a suitable position. Now mounted to the back of my desk, I can get the mic to right position, but arm is just not long enough now. Quality wise, it's certainly not top notch material but should be ok for a 'bit' of regular movement in home hobby situation. My main concern is the hole where the arm slips into the desk clamp. With the arm stretched out, there is noticeable resistance when swinging the arm sideways. Can't just flick it sideways, need to kinda push back a bit on the arm whilst turning. The desk clamp needs to be REAL tight to avoid it moving.
Holds up my Blue Yeti extremely well. No issues at all and didn’t even need to tighten anything. It can sit on the side of the desk collapsed, and then be extended whenever it’s needed. Just make sure you take the adaptor out of the Mic Clip and put that into the Blue Yeti base.
