A worthwhile read for any aspiring entrepreneur, founder or executive in a start up. Interesting and candid history of Ben’s own companies, he gives valuable insights that will surely help you on your own journey. It’s also a short read for those who don’t have a lot of time to spare.
What a great book! Ben sets the scene nicely with the background to his career and the experiences that led to him coming up with his 'words of wisdom'. As someone who has struggled with trying to get several ideas to a business reality as well as worked as a public company executive director, I 'get' what he is advising but more than that, he has given me insight into how to tackle issues that I have yet to confront. It's an engaging read and I would recommend it to anyone to treats corporate life as more than just a job.
Frank, unvarnished assessment of what is often a thankless job. Also does a great job of garnering the respect that is deserved by many founder CEOs, a respect that I find difficult to apply to the FIFO (fly in-fly out) CEOs who bank the big bucks and move on before the ramifications of their decisions can be measured. I run a small company but still got a lot out of this book.
