This was such one of simplest most beautiful romantic series that I have ever read. I loved them all. I just thoroughly adored each and every character so much with such the amazing writing by K.A. Tucker. Everyone of the series just so very hard to put down. I was finally so excited for the last book too.
We found that Reese MacKay had a troubled life. She was definitely a wild child. After she had gotten married at the young age of 19 years old. With the help of her Stepfather coming to her rescue and finally help her out. Maybe even College! Giving her ideas of Miami. Now going to Cancun for her 21st birthday. And once she found job she would be set for life.
Such an exciting and hilarious book this was. I just adored both Ben and Reese's such beautiful relationship.
Who knew what was meant to be a drunken one-night in Cancún could lead to so much? The charismatic bouncer from Penny’s - and lovable secondary character in the previous novels – Ben Morris, finally gets his time under the spotlight with K.A Tuckers newest addition to the ‘Ten Tiny Breaths’ series; ‘Five Ways to Fall’. Since the moment I read ‘Ten Tiny Breaths’ I was hooked, so when the newest novel was released my expectations were high; I was not disappointed. One of the things I love about Tuckers writing is the way she can create lovable 3D characters that slide faultlessly into place, in both the story and the readers’ hearts. And this time was no different. Tucker had me laughing - and cringing - along with Ben and Reese as they got up to no good; dealing with their mutual attraction, Reese’s retaliation against her cheating ex-husband, and learning to work together despite their sizzling chemistry. Not to mention overcoming the fact that Reese is the stepdaughter of Ben’s boss, and Ben very much prefers one-night stands, to actual relationships. All of which are obstacles that lead to a thrilling and captivating story. This novel enchanted me from the first page until the final chapter. Full of intrigue, passion, humor, and Tuckers ability to steer clear of the forbidden and unrequited love cliché’s that one may think would be featured in the novel after reading the blurb; ‘Five Ways to Fall’ is a fresh, unique and entertaining novel and an excellent addition to the series. I can’t wait to read whatever comes next.
The first time I read Ten Tiny Breaths I was in awe of K.A Tucker’s writing, it was a book that struck a chord with me. I reread TTB for the second time recently followed by the rest of the books in the Ten Tiny Breaths series. Ten Tiny Breaths started my addiction for Tucker’s writing, her gut wrenching emotion storytelling is compelling. One Tiny Lie left me captivated, cementing my addiction for Tucker’s brilliant writing. Four Seconds to Lose gave me time to take a deep breath, before I devoured Five Way to Fall. It was everything and more.
Ben peaked my interested in TTB, I have a real soft spot for characters like him, sexy, cocky, loves to banter. Ben was a bouncer at Penny’s until recently, having taken his bar exam and landing a job at the Warner firm he jets off with his mates to Cancun to celebrate before starting his career. On his last night he meets a wild one…
“Another cunning smile behind her drink answers me. Yeah, she’s good. And, damn it, so sexy. In a loose-cannon kind of way. The only kind that snags me like a trout on a shark hook.”
Reese hasn't had an easy life, her past has been unstable leaving her to act out and become a wild spitfire, who was rebellious while growing up and like to push boundaries. At 19 she married a man after knowing him for six weeks, she loved him, but a few months later he cheated on her. Down and out she calls her step dad Jack who comes to help her and sets her up with a job, a fresh start.
Turning 21 she heads to Cancun with her friends for some fun, with some liquid courage she finds herself meeting a gorgeous man. Their time in Cancun was entertaining and embarrassing. No big deal they won't see each other again. Until Ben walks through the door to start his new job at a law firm, the same place Reece works. He will be working under Jack Warner, Reece’s step father and he has made it clear there are to be no relationships with coworkers.
“I liken Reese to a wild horse that’s become accustomed to humans. She’ll tolerate you, she may even come close to you, she’ll certainly bewitch you, but you never know exactly what she’s going to do next. She has trust issues that run deep.”
I loved Ben and Reece’s relationship at the start the love hate they had for each other showed through their humorous banter. The more time they spend with one another as friends the more they get to know each other. This friendship and flirty banter is about to turn into something more. They have a strong chemistry and desire for one another but Ben can't risk his job he doesn't do commitment and Reese's still hung up on her ex. Is it worth running the risk to feel and give into something you never thought you wanted?
“It means I want your womanizing mama’s-boy football-player butt all to myself and if I catch you with any Twinkies or beauty queens or anyone else, you’d better run far and fast because I will hunt you down.”
Through the series Ben has always been a playful cocky guy but he has met his match with Reece. I loved both Ben and Reece watching them grow separately and together. K.A Tucker has produced another brilliant addition to the series. Overall I cannot speak highly enough of Tucker’s writing, I am addicted. There is something about her storytelling, expressive emotions, characters that I can't find words for, when I try I sound like a bumbling idiot.
Five Ways to Fall is on my favourites list for 2016 and the TTB series is on my all time favourite series list. If you haven't picked a book by K.A Tucker you need to!
