Brought two of these for use holding a mic, audio recorder and a atomos on my Ronin, and gotta say I'm impressed. They are metal, can squeeze tight that you dont need to worry about them coming lose, and honesly a lot cheaper than the Dji version which only works for the ronin. Where these can be mounted to any pole that fits.
Used to mount small camera to bike handlebars and random things. Sturdily made out of metal - the main clamp is very positive and the jaws have quite a wide range. The ball is also metal and locks firmly into place.
The tapped holes in the clamp mean you could use this for many other purposes (add-hoc mic stand, retort stand etc.)
Small Rig products show that you don't have to spend a lot to get quality. I am using these mounts for my Speedlie flashes to provide a more versatile mounting solutions. Small Rig are a high quality product for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
If I had paid $40 for this, I would have thought - yeah, a well made, very solid and quality piece of kit. Certainly plenty of strength for a compact or action camera, small gimbal or a flashlight etc. Easy to adjust. But for $12 and postage?? It's a bargain!
