Outlaw is the first in the Evil Dead MC series and follows the story of Cole, their VP, and Angel, a woman who is kidnapped and raped by an associate club to the Evil Dead MC. I gave it 4 stars because I found it flowed really well, the characters are good, but so much happens to this couple over a three year period, that it seems unrealistic. But that doesn't mean it wasn't a good read because it definitely was! Next up is Crash!!
I've read heaps of MC books now and whenever I see a book I like to see everyone's comment on the book. There were quite a couple of bad comments about this book but I wanted to read this and I'm soooooo glad I did. Nicole James writing is so easy every moment always gets you pulled into the book.
Cole is the VP of the Evil Dead MC. Tough, mean and just a complete badass! He saves Angel and their story begins. Cole and Angels story is full of ups and downs, highs and lows, but in the end it's one hell of a ride you dont wanna miss!
Full of emotion. I laughed & cried. This really was a very enjoyable story raising several topical issues. Well worth a read & I know you will enjoy it. I missed Angel & Cole when I had to stop reading. Thank you. X
The only gripe I had with this was it was too much like an episode of Sons Of Anarchy and I know that a lot of authors take inspiration from the show but it is getting kinda old. HOWEVER I did feel it go onto its own track towards the middle and evolve into a really nicely written story.
I liked Cole, he had the bad biker boy down but the heart in that biker was better. The way he treated Angel through her terror was sweet and was played well.
Angel was a great character defiant and strong yet kittenish also.
As a couple through the violence and terror you can still see the sweetness building between Cole and Angel and it is kind of heart warming, and an enjoyable perspective of falling in love.
I liked the layout of the story and the introduction of a few of the biker brothers, hopefully their stories will follow.
All up I really enjoyed the story and the characters. It felt well rounded and full although predictable there were some nice twists. I definitely want to continue on with the series especially since Crash's story is up next.
