This is a truly wonderful story involving the bonding of a girl to a woman who was not her mother which ultimately led to the woman adopting the girl . I have written in my post on Child Bride ,by the same author , about the authenticity of these books based ,as they claim ,on true stories about foster children . This issue of authenticity needs to be addressed otherwise these books are masquerading as biography when in fact they are fiction .As I've said in my other post I'm giving Cathy Glass the benefit of the doubt . She has done an interview with her adopted daughter admittedly in the print media . I have not read the interview .This together with other material I have read leads me to give Cathy Glass the benefit of the doubt .Notwithstanding all this these books are very well written and easy to read .
Such a heart warming book. Funny and sad along with laughing and tears. Loved this book as much as any other book of Cathy Glass's that i have read. She somehow manages to capture the readers attention right from page 1.
I always enjoy Cathy's books, they are well written, the stories are heartbreaking but very informative, I think she's is a strong person and what she does is wonderful, the world needs to know about these children and what they have endured. Keep writing Kathy!
