What an amazing author! I have read all of his books but was initially reluctant to start a series of so many books. I have just finished the first 7 days and I could not put the book or in my case the iPad down. Some of the humour had me laughing out loud, I particularly liked the exploding cow. The humour surprised me initially as the theme is total catastrophe, however it made sense eventually. My only complaint is that I would have liked the rest of the series in weeks rather than days. That’s a hell of a lot of books to buy.
I've read (but really) devoured this whole series. I can say that I've never read anything else that captured characters to the degree that I laughed and cried along side of them. I honestly didn't want it to end. I would happily read about them for years. I wanted to be one of them. Favourite series hands down
This is a long tale and the characters are given such depth as a consequence. You get to watch a night manager in a grocery store and his storeman become zombie slaying giants. The suspense is well built and the battles are epic The characters introduced along the way also become more than incidental, they have lives and stories. It.s great to see seven days unfold in such detail. I for one am hanging to read the next volume.
When I first started this book, I thought it was okay. Damn. The longer I read, the more my opinion changed. This author is sensational. There's not really much else to say except, do yourself a favour.
Oh wow did l enjoy this book,l am now on the second half book and l just don't want it to end.I have grown to love the characters and the side story lines. Some different ideas from other zombie books but for me that makes it all the more interesting.Worth every cent as there is just so much reading.Well done to the author ,l will be watching for any new books from this author that's for sure.
I enjoyed this story, particularly a UK setting rather than the standard USA. Reminded me a lot of the Slow Burn series by Bobby Adair. Lots of action, humour and a couple of good characters in Howie and Dave. Four Stars as it got a bit too heroic.
Emotions from the reader are what really sells books. This series is beyond a doubt the best ive read so far. Unstoppable unflappable, incapable of thoughts other than finishing the first week..i am at a loss now until i start the second week.
Having just been introduced to zombie books, I’m now a total addict! Great story lines, with characters that come to life on the pages, both funny and sad. As soon as I had finished this book I started the second one.... Now looking forward to the Xmas break where work won’t get in the way of a fantastic story! And I’ll be able to read to my hearts content!
