This is such a great game. The mechanics of this game have been set up so well where both winning and losing are possibilities right until the end. Having the extra characters means the replayability of the game is increased and each game comes with different challenges. Its also really easy and quick to pick up so most people will be able to jump straight into it. A great game for any games night! Easily the best co-op game that I have come across.
I have two girls - ages 10 and 13. We try and set aside some time to play a board game together (along with my wife) every now and then. With the age difference between the girls, competitive games such as Risk or Monopoly would often result in one or the other of the girls having a disagreement etc. With Pandemic however, we must all work together to win the game. We either all win - or all lose. While there is a minor learning curve, my 13 year old took it all on board and actually explained how the game worked to the rest of us. If you are looking for a family game I can't recommend this highly enough. It is a refreshing concept to have a game requiring cooperation as opposed to working against each other.
This is such a clever idea for a game. Playing collaboratively as a group is a nice change & also means one of the team can duck away to do something else (deal with a toddler / make food / take a bathroom break / answer a phone call etc.) while the game continues. It's difficult enough to be a challenge without being impossible & every time you play, it's different.
The box had missing yellow cubes but the seller resolved it immediately with no hassle. This is a great co-op game that's easy to pick up but really difficult to beat. My wife and I only won once and lost the other 12! Nevertheless, would be the most satisfying loss you can experience in a board game. Highly recommended
