I bought this version because it had the audiobook as well. I have now listened to it once (also read the book a long time ago). I think I will keep coming back to it. The capacity of St John of the Cross to so clearly observe and track the ever so subtle is simply extraordinary. As a person committed to the spiritual practices, and path, I hoped to find myself somewhere in his descriptions. That didn't happen but it did help me realise that the many times I thought I had lost my way were actually essential passages of the overall journey. I can see why it has become a primary spiritual classic.
