This book was lovely. I really enjoyed it. Like the book I previously reviewed, it was not my normal read but I really enjoyed the change.
The story of Sophie and Rafe was interesting and well rounded. The one sex scene was well written and refreshingly explicit without all the coarse words I get tired of reading.
I found Kris's interior design details interesting but one of the best things was her description of the New Zealand landscape. It is a country I've always wanted to visit and Kris made the beauty of the place easy to imagine.
Lastly, there were no proofreading or editing errors which is a big plus for me.
I highly recommend this wonderful, warm love story and unbelievably, it was free!
...not that there isn't a builder of boats in the storyline and a rich builder of boats at that, it's just that the title doesn't do the novel justice. The characters develop well and the basis behind their misunderstanding (no romance is worth its salt without a misunderstanding) is both well introduced and credible. I felt compassion for both the hero and the heroine and enjoyed the read. Don't miss it whilst it is free, though I probably would have paid for it, knowing it was this enjoyable.
I loved the connection between the characters and how we got to hear both rafe and Sophie's inner thoughts, hearing inside a guys head is quite rare in these types of books so it was nice to see both sides. Sophie has no interest in his cash which again is refreshing. The length of the story allowed so much character enhancement and you could really connect to them both
I downloaded this book for FREE on to my Kindle. I thought as it's free it doesn't matter if it's any good or not. It was GOOD! I have just finished it and what a shame as I was so engrossed with the story and how the lovely characters would end up. It has some saucy but romantic scenes and is just such a feel-good story. I will have to look up the authors others books now.
Oh wow, when I first bought it, I didn't expect it to be so well plotted and so un-put-downable. The plot line was amazing, the characters were so real and so well described. It was teasing and taunting throughout and I just couldn't stop reading, anticipating for when he would find out her secret. Then when he did, it was through a way that I hadn't anticipated at all and the cat fight was brilliant. The moments when Rafe was trying desperately to sort his thoughts out was heartwrenching, especially when Sophie panicked and thought that everything was ruined despite all his reassurances right at the start that no matter what happened between them, he would ensure her the job.
There was only thing that I didn't particularly enjoy, while the ending was perfect, it was also infuriating because the story breaks off before you can find out his reaction to her surprise for him.
This is a love story set against a background of boat building(and what boats) and interior design. It is well written and easy to read. The love story is given extra dimension by the secret daughter and the ex wife. The characters are great. Rafe and Sophie are the lovers and are both likeable and real. Camille the daughter is a darling. I loved reading it. Great for travel, the beach or bed time reading.
I am not the biggest of readers but I purchased this book for a holiday read, I just couldn't put it down. It is full oif romance and excitement. Easy to read and have now read More of the authors books.
