I was at a bankwest forum early 2019 in Perth Australia, I could relate to the work/life balance that Gill was maintaining before the bombing. I had already made the decision to take my years long service for 2 years on half pay after devoting 43 years to my employer spending at least 10 hours a day at work. At that point I realised the decision I made was definitely 100% right for me to get back some of the years I had lost with family and friends. I know there was not a dry eye in that room as Gill was captivating us with her story. Thank you for sharing your story and making a difference to my life.
Inspirational account of Gill's survival after the most unimaginable terror. Her will to survive, to honour those who helped, to move forward with love and understanding, rather than bitterness and her determination to make a difference in our world are the hallmarks of One Amazing person. No longer "one unknown", she really is a role model. A wonderful book that I highly recommend to everyone.
This book was amazing! It included messages about compassion, resilliance, strength and so much more. I truly admire Gill and how she has pulled her life together and has been able to go on and make something wonderful out of the bombing and she does it with a smile and lots of humour.
Gill Hicks recalls the triumph of her survival, recovery and the start of her Life 2 from the London Tube blast. This is a book to make you remember how lucky you are but also there is life still no matter what change happens in your life
