When I started getting serious about my fitness goals, I gained a lot of knowledge purely from google but danced around trying to put it all together. But being an avid reader and a reasonably new convert to the Kindle world, I thought Id find a few books from various natural body builder types to help me piece it together. This was the second of a few books I bought and probably will be the one I recommend as a starting point. It covers all the "important" aspects of nutrition and training in a simple and well structured format and you get a great feel for Mikes personality. Its like he's talking to you as a friend. The training style will challenge your conventional beliefs if you are used to the standard 8 -12 rep range, especially the rest intervals. But I find the principals in this book are what I come back to, changing it every now and again to keep my body guessing. And I've also had a brief couple of email exchanges with Mike, which is great, I'm sure I can bounce anything off him or his team and get a response. Good read for someone looking to bring it all together or someone who has absolutely no idea....especially about nutrition.
I'm 48 years old almost, was 87.9 kg approx 25% body fat in October 2016...Now as of Jan 28 2017 sit at 83.5Kg 18% body fat (this is despite the Xmas and summer (I'm in Australia) festivities. I still enjoy a social drink and a good meal out but my staples are now rock solid. My body shape has changed dramatically and being single and on the dating scene, life couldn't be better!!!
