I found Mindsight extremely interesting. The topics covered were all very intriguing, and though they the descriptions and explanations had the potential to get long, complicated and boring, Siegal expressed his points very clearly, keeping them interesting and easy to understand with analogies and acronyms, and bypassing all the complicated lingo that is a stretch understand if, like me, you have only picked this book up as an interesting read. The book as set out in two parts, with part one being like an introduction to the brain and how it develops and shapes out world, while part two was a collection on anecdotes illustrating now Siegal put his knowledge of the brain and mind into practice. I found his part particularity interesting, as the anecdotes were both entertaining and easy to relate too. Some of them were quite inspiring, in that they showed how, no matter how old, there is always the potential to rewire our brains.
I encourage you or anyone thinking of giving this book to go right ahead as I certainly found Mindsight to be one information-packed, potentially life changing read. I certainly learnt a lot from it, and I'm sure you will too!
