An unusual man, with an unusual hstory
Reviewed in Australia on 27 August 2018
The Memoirs of Barack Obama, from his early childhood through to university years. He had an interesting early life, and tells it without much emotion or sentimentality. Pity, it would have been interesting to hear a little more about growing up with an African father and a white mother in small town America, and then Indonesia. When he grows into adulthood he retraces his history, leading him to Africa and his divided genealogical tree. Having read the book I can see why the man has such emotional intelligence, but it is a tome you have to work through.
