Such beautiful prose. A joy to read.

A story of people: the things they do, the choices they make and the people they are. Mostly about two women but also their lovers and friends, all interacting and living their lives. No heart-stopping crises, just an examination of a certain period during young people's lives. Beautifully written to the extent I kept wanting to stop and write quotes from it. Loved A Gentleman in Moscow, which inspired me to read this book. This one is different but just as accomplished.
