Being part of a series of books, this one, along with the others in the series, keeps you longing to read ahead to see what happens, yet you won't want to miss any details along the way. The cast of characters in the book are mostly family members, but all are supportive of one another. Ms. Nunes spins her tales well. I do love that there are several books, allowing further exposure to the story and characters. The ordeals encountered by characters are much like general life events yet intrigue and adventure still lurks around the corner, adding up to wonderful reading experiences!
A great book is written with not only action of its characters, but as in this book, it captures and keeps the attention of the reader. This book does a great job in maintaining high interest and attention-keeping situations. I loved reading this one!
My reading taste is somewhat eclectic. As long as it's fiction, I'm usually good with it. Even so, I'm often a bit leery of Christian-themed books because they can sometimes be over the top and make it out as if God-fearing people don't have problems. Not so with these books. Although I'm not LDS, I enjoyed reading these stories. They have enough action and intrigue to keep you turning the pages, but aren't dark like so many stories are. I even recommended them to my LDS sister-in-law, and I rarely recommend books. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
Heart searing in its intensity, this story will pull you into all the things that hit these families.Their faith is strong, and it brings these people through all the horrid things that happens.Their Havenly Father is right there with them, carrying them through with blessings on the other side.A very good read.
I stumbled across this series and ended up ordering all of the books. The characters are deep, real and, although the Mormon stuff is a bit unusual, I liked the book. Rebecca is a special person that appears in the earlier book, and she struggles with a relationship that has been life long. However, the story is not a predictable love story and allows you to feel the reality of trusting God to lead you in relationships.
Rebecca and Marc planned to get married, but Marc gets sick and needs a kidney so she gives him hers. It doesn't work so his youngest brother gives him his . Andre Marcs younger brother is married but his wife gets sick and dies. He is lonely he thinks he loves Rebecca but he can't stand in between her and Marc. A great love story God always takes care of us.
