I’m a software engineer for the last 8 years and I wish I read this earlier in my career. For and older tech book there is a reason why it has become a classic, and that’s because the tips in this book are timeless and haven’t dated despite technology moving forward. It highlights a lot of the human factors too.
I wouldn’t recommend reading it until you have worked on software “in anger” for a while. Then the tips speak to you more because you can relate a personal situation and you’ll remember it the next time you see that pattern.
