I bought this book after hearing Alan Alda interviewed on the radio, talking about his love of complex science, which surprised me. He also recounted the story of his stuffed dog and I just had to find out more about this loveable, funny character whom I only knew through MASH. I've really enjoyed getting to know him better.
I Love Alan Alda. You can hear his voice through the text and its wonderful. A must read not only for MASH fans but for anyone who likes to laugh at themselves and their life. Its entertaining and full of great stories.
As a son of a show biz couple Alda occasionally examines his life with a microscope as he shares his schooling, his ten years of aspire to get famous enough to get good job offers, and his mother's mental illness. When he gets M*A*S*H his life changes which is interesting. Occasional insight. Some swearing.
