The box I'm currently using has had 4 pads that have only been about ⅔ s moisturized. The log # is 0080, with an expiry date of 11/2022. The previous box had two totally dry pads. I've not had any issues with the OCuSOFT Plus pads, in the 3-4 years I've been using them, up until the past 3 months or so. It seems they're quality control has slipped somewhat. This is also evidenced by the fact that all pads are not folded uniformly. There seems to be at least 3 different machines doing the folding, all set different folding patterns. I like it when the pads are not folded so the edges match up exactly. It makes them much easier to unfold them for use.
It sounded convenient and effective to not have to wash off after using these, but leaving the goop on my eyes was not a good idea. My eye doctor also told me NOT to leave it on my eyes. I've since switched to Systane Lid Wipes because the little towelettes are much softer than the OcuSOFT ones.
Unfortunately some of the packets were completely dry. It must have been some manufacturing defect, as it affected some and not others - and I’d seen previous reviewers mention this as well. Otherwise they seem to work well and are a good compliment to the regular Ocusoft wipes (note: they are meant to be left on, rather than washed off after).
Really disappointing given that these are not returnable and so expensive. Unless they can refund me, I won’t be ordering them again.
They just changed (1st quarter 2016) the amount of cleanser in each pad making the pad too soapy and slick. The pad does not provide the slight friction that is needed to scrub the lids as it once did. It was great in the previous formulation. Will be looking for a replacement product.
Been using these for well over a year now on the advice of my optometrist. So far, I can't say that I've noticed any improvement. He agrees. Am now using supplemental treatments, but continuing with these. We'll see.
way too scratchy. If your doctor recomended this brand, they meant the wet kind I am sure.
For makeup, get the nice soft visine if you are rich, or try simple something or other. Almay sells some cheapo ones that are not terrible. I find all premoistened ones leave oily residue, so you may as well use a we ocusoft and clean your eyelashes well for your eye health.
