Plain and Problematic

Unpopular onion, but I didn't like this book. It was, at times, extremely boring. The characters aren't relateable and it's constantly harped on about how attractive the characters are and that's the extent of the character bulid up, they have little to no background story or vales and personalities, the two main characters have little purpose other than to be objects of tension and romance. The twist in terms of an individuals identity I could see from a mile away, it was so obvious. Also the relationship between the two main characters, I found to actually be problematic, how Poppy reacts to the revelations at the end of the book would not reflect how a normal healthy person would react in that situation, and would not choose to remain in that situation, in short, I find that relationship to be problematic and unhealthy. I purchased the second book and didn't get far into it berore I saw the same problems in the sequel too. Overall, I gave the books a fair chance but I couldn't fall in love with this series.
