3.5 Stars This is my first read from Laurelin, and I really loved the sound of the blurb. The book was really captivating at the start. I loved the tension and the fact that there were still all these feelings for one another between them. But once we got to the part that explained why they had broken up in the first place, I kind of lost interest a bit. I mean, the reason to me...I can’t understand why he didn’t tell her before everything happened. You don’t keep people in the dark if you apparently love them. Of course she was mad! I don’t blame her, I would have been mad too. But she didn’t confront him about it! From there the story kind of lost me until near the end.
I thought the main characters were good. Tanner the hot Aussie heartthrob and Jenna the beautiful young model. Lots of sparks could be felt between them and you could feel their connection to one another. While the story was good, I just couldn’t get past what Tanner did, and for me it just fell a little short. I will check out Laurelin’s other work since this was my first read. I received an early copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own.
Once again Laurelin Paige has given us a fabulous and entertaining read. One More Time is a second chance Hollywood romance that packs a punch. It has all the feels with some added humor along way. A good storyline and relatable characters makes this book a pleasure to read. Tanner James and Jenna Stahl have past that is coming back 10 fold. Tanner a now famous movie star and Jenna a beautiful and successful model wanting to start a career in the film industry, were the toast of the town what feels like a lifetime ago. After a decade apart and now with the opportunity that has presented itself for them to work together, sparks will fly and there will be some very hot times ahead. The chemistry between the two is electric but they struggle with a past that has brought pain to both. Ultimately though they need to work through the pain of the past if they want to have a future together. A refreshing read that has the right amount of everything. I throughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
I have been on a dark and angsty kick of late so it was really refreshing to read a book that had me LOLing and smiling the whole way through. Tanner is DELICIOUS and I kinda loved Jenna too. Their history, their chemistry and their genuine affection poured off the page. I read this is one session (a late night but so worth it).
Definitely recommend if you're looking for a believable, funny, sexy second chance story ❤️
