I was surprised by how much he revealed. Too many business books these days have one good idea that really could be told in the first 20 pages and then after that it’s all “filler”. So I find myself often abandoning books after I’ve got that initial idea, or simply “skimming” the remaining 80% of the content - but that was not the case with “Ask” - it was back to back relevant, “juicy” content.
I actually can’t believe how much Ryan revealed about the exact strategy and process he uses. It kept me reading and, as a marketer with more than 20 years experience, it also kept me jotting down ideas, which was great (and rare!).
I especially liked how he’s structured the book so you can dive right into the specific strategy section if you want, or you can learn more about his personal story as well.
Well worth the investment of your time if you want a specific and really smart formula, all laid out, for attracting and converting more of your ideal clients.
I loved this book on marketing for a few reasons, I found Ryan's story very interesting, which he starts with... I normally hate these kinds of stories, but in Ryan's case I really liked it!
His advice on how to build momentum with your target audience, buyers, customers, whatever you call them, was clear and simple. It is about how to structure your research in order to ensure a 5 star result. As a digital strategist I just don't think this book could have been any better for me, it was fabulous. I highly recommend it :)
The Ask Method is found in most high end sales websites to varying degrees. Is great to see the model presented on one place and supported by real business evidence. This is an applied methodology, not heavily rooted in research which is fine when you understand that this is a practical guide for time poor business managers. The tone is casual and this is an easy read.
I finished reading this book within 24 hours of it being released and seriously could not put it down. I already knew the basic formula, but tend to absorb written info better... and now I get it. If you read this book you'll get a clear blueprint on how to become seriously rich. It's as simple as that. Buy this book, apply the principles and you'll never be short of money again.
