To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Lately I have been expanding my reading topics to include books that I rarely would ever read. This book, The Mammoth book of Comic Fantasy, is one of those volumes I would not normally read and review. However, I admit to finding many of the stories very interesting, but there are also numerous strange and unusual topics covered. When I originally ordered this book I thought it was an illustrated comic format, but this 544 page text has no drawings at all.
There are 32 stories in this book. Some of the topics include the following: The Wonders to Behold, The Blue Magnolia, Colquitt's High-Energy Trousers, A Drama of Dragons, Wrong Planet, Return of the Warrior, Christmas Games, Shoes, The Day we Played Mars, Fowl Play, The Deaths of Robin Hood, Bad Timing, The Power and the Gory, Almost Heaven, Spoiled Rotten, Stakes and Adders, I Married a Robot and many other stories.
In conclusion, If you are into the fantasy genre you will no doubt really like some of the stories in this collection.
