Great book filled with logical and achievable methods for changing your life one step at a time.
With 3 kids under 6, a full time busy job 9 to 6 and starting my business on the side, I was struggling to find enough time in my week to achieve everything I needed and wanted to achieve.
Now I have read this book cover to cover and planning to go back, read it again to lock in some of the fundamentals in my daily routine. I've found having that thought "is this activity I'm doing the most important thing that will drive me forward and make everything else easier?" yes? Excellent.. No? Well park it, analyse what I should be focusing on and do that. It's worth having a journal that you update in the morning, identify those top things, time block your day and then review at night to hold yourself accountable.
Much longer review than I was planning but thus book is one of the best I have read for getting me focused and on track to complete my life goals.
I started to read this book a while ago but quickly put it down when it challenged me to think of just the one thing I needed to think of that by doing it everything else will be easier or unnecessary.
I Got afraid of the answer and decided it better to continue doing all the other low value things I had on my plate. Only just now after realising that the approach I decided to take after putting down the book didn’t work I thought I might pick it up and practice the art of finishing what I started
I am yet to complete the activities in this book but I believe if I give them the time they deserve I may find the answer I have been looking for
Thanks Gary this book has been a real Eye opener and I certainly don’t want to live out my remaining days in full regret for what could have been but slipped through my fingers
If you've ever found yourself juggling many conflicting priorities&wondering where to find the time to get it all done,or pondering the deep issue of what it really is that you're on this earth to do,this book is brilliant at leading you along the process by which you'll answer these questions, find your one thing&how to execute once you find it. Do the work in the book, dig deep find your one thing and prepare to play the game of life at a peak level!
This is one of the best business books I have ever read and I read a lot. Ties in with simplification, minimalism, 80/20 Principle (and other books by Richard Koch), Essentialism (by Greg McKeown). Simple concept that deals with focusing your thinking and next actions. I use the David Allen "Getting Things Done" principles and this helps determine your next actions. Highly recommended.
A digestible book with a fine balance of principles and practical tips. Great Audible edition has been recorded too which means you can listen to and read the book at the same time. I'm looking forward to embedding the habit on the ONE thing across the next 66 days. Enjoy. Well written and thanks to the authors.
Fabulous. Well written. Well laid out and easy on the eye. A powerful life changing message, brilliantly crafted in its simplicity, application and its thoroughly comprehensive usability. A definite read for anyone serious about living a great life and doing something that matters.
There are aspects of life when you try to strive in so many areas and try to be everything to everyone. This book really reminds you the power of focus/ discipline and prioritising the ONE thing/s that anyone can do to really get results. Great Book
