This is a very satisfying audiobook. I do not claim to be any expert on its topic but several aspect have made this one of, if not the best, audiobook I have "read". The narrator has a mellifluous voice which I cold listen to endlessly - I am dreaming of sporting other books to his voice! Secondly the content is dripping with the knowledge of the author without ever being condescending. Every paragraph seems underpinned by a depth of understanding of subject matter that enables the dropping of casual detail without the forced erudition of many non-fiction writers. All this and I have not even reached the part in which I am most interested.
