Initially I loved this book, loved the character delineation, and the emotional insights the author brought to the story. Then it hit a point I found it very unrealistic - does anyone ever get anyone, let alone three others, to understand their emotional depths AND to find solutions? Yet I kept going because Liz Bryski is a beautiful writer and I felt compelled to finish. And it wasn’t hard and, best of all, I got back into the swing of the characters and enjoyed the remainder of the book. I do recommend it. It’s a bit Pollyanna and yet holds worthwhile truths that can make readers look more closely at themselves. And the bonds that develop between the four women is something we can all wish for. So give A Month of Sunday’s a go. It is a good read.
