A great adventure & coming of age tale

I liked this book, about a young girl's development into womanhood, & an obsessed father. Obsessed with the voyage & obsessed with Leslie in particular. But Leslie showed her true courage & ability, as an independent woman & a great sailor.
There were loose ends I would have liked to know - What happened to "Aegir" left in Papeete? And what became of Bjorn, and Leslie's sisters back in Canada?
Leslie wrote this book some forty years after the events described, I think it was a cathartic experience for her.
