"This is a story is about a mother who's love for her child is the only thing that keeps her going. She didn't know that she was a bride from a distant past by the name of "Ione" and her blood had the power to defeat an ancient vampire and she's being hunted for it. Until one night, things came to head and she finally met her fate. She fell in love with her savior but her vampire stalker just keep on getting in their way. Add that her child is facing her mortality and was kidnapped, she's desperate to save her even it means sacrificing her own mortality. The only question is would her sacrifice be worth it?"
REVIEW: It took me until chapter 4 to really gain interest in the book when things got interesting with the characters getting hot and bothered. I found it to be a common vamp story of a woman falling in love with her savior.
The book started with a woman being accosted along the dark alley. Nothing original to it especially if it is a vampire story. But when they keep repeating "Ione" and you don't have a single clue who's that, it tends to keep you off track in the story. Also, there's nothing exciting going on with bringing the up her past life, or about using the blood to break a curse. It wasn't even used in the story. So I'm like, what the heck?
I've enjoyed some parts of the book like the part when the protagonist was trying to protect her and her child because he couldn't help be fall in love with her.And I love when the antagonist had a change of heart and turn for the better at the end of the story. I think that was the best part of the story as far as I am concerned.
Maybe, if you're a fan of vampire stories and past life brides, you would enjoy this. Sadly, this story has been told so many times before so surprises there.
