This is like a YA version of The Lies of Locke Lamora, or The Final Empire as we have a gang of criminals out on an impossible adventure for incredible rewards. The book switches POVs between the six main characters, but is still able to keep the story moving forward and isn't confusing. The back stories of the characters are all quite interesting, and the heist they need to pull off really gets you on the edge of your seat.
Bardugo's Shadow and Bone was one of my favourite releases that year, but unfortunately the next books in that series paled in comparison. I hope that doesn't happen with this series as it has started really strong and ended on a great cliffhanger. I have high hopes for the series :)
