This is the first review I have written for a book I have purchased. I am hoping to send a message to someone like me - someone who has struggled with a habit from which they have tried many times and failed to break away. The Kindness Method is unlike any other self-help book I have read. Like others, it draws on the author's considerable professional and personal experience. However, it invites the reader to follow a robust step-by-step process which builds personal empowerment based on serious individual reflection. Shahroo first encourages the reader to inventory their strengths and capabilities before reviewing the possible reasons for their unwanted habits and how they can do the work to change. She guides the reader to a position of increased personal understanding, compassion and indeed kindness. This method is proving to work for me - most sincerely. I hope others can share this enlightened way to self-improvement.
