Amos is relentless and healing
21 July 2019
I love Amos Decker and I hope David Baldacci is enjoying Amos character arc over the 5 books as I am.
This story finds Amos back in Burlington to visit the graves of his wife and daughter. He is thrust back into his past and realizes that he may be responsible for the wrong man being jailed.
What I loved about this story there were at times there seemed no leads to follow. I wondered just how Amos would find the information to move the investigation along. As the reader it had me stretching trying to work out who did what. There were so many elements to this story and each one had me totally engaged with all the participants.
Amos also made some emotional progress which I loved. I forecast that Mr Baldacci is enjoying Amos recovery as much as I am. My partner says no and is certain that the author has wrapped this series up. I pray this is not the case. Amos is unrelenting when he investigates and it makes for such compelling reading.
