A solid collection around the theme. I was an Elite card member on Air Canada for 13 years. That is not bragging, extensive air travel for any reason is actually sad...and I will debate anyone on the topic. What my claim does prove, is how I can connect with the stories King and comrades collected. There are classics, surprising tales from way back, hidden gems, and a couple written just to be included.
I totally recommend reading this on a plane! King and his son both cough up new stories. Joe Hill’s was great...unoriginal but great. It is amazing to see which authors made it in, several due to wartime experiences or too often, frequent flyer travel. So buckle in, ready your credit card for a scotch (otherwise you will only receive water and peanuts...if you are lucky), lean away from your hulking seat mate, prepare yourself for unexpected delays, and pretend not to smell what wafts from the toilet...then enjoy these scary tales...they will distract you from the real horrors of travel.
